PENSIONTAXRELIEF.COM

Background & History
PENSIONTAXRELIEF.COM is part of investment research and corporate governance provider Vanquish Analytics. We provide institutional investment managers with portfolio design, stock research and analysis, asset allocation modelling and independent investment committee governance.
Whilst undertaking pension specific research we discovered the extent of the higher and additional tax relief issue and our Head of Strategy, Julian Penniston-Hill, created pensiontaxrelief.com to provide a quick and economical solution to those effected.
Throughout his career Julian has been recognised as a consumer champion, widely quoted in the national press, appearing on broadcast programmes (BBC, ITV and Channel 4) and consulted in Parliament by the Treasury Select Committee, the Pension Minister and Shadow Pension Minister.
He exposed the the full extent of financial adviser annual commission and set up a service to rebate this back to customers, spearheaded the development of low cost SIPPs and provided a fully managed alternative to financial advice that included full financial and tax planning support at no additional charge.

The Mail on Sunday wrote "MILLIONS of investors could receive an annual cash rebate or boost their pensions by thousands of pounds - just by completing a simple form.", The Financial Times commented "Julian Penniston-Hill, who set up Intelligent Money, is a rarity in financial adviser circles - someone who believes there is a moral case for revealing all about commission" and The Observer said "Penniston-Hill wants to bust the renewal commission scam.".

Citywire reported that "Penniston-Hill enraged much of the industry" with with his consumer focused stance and Money Marketing acknowledged that he was “taking the moral high ground regarding the way the industry structures its costs.".
